Upholstery repair in Barbados, done properly the first time
Sagging cushions, split seams, torn arms, wobbly frames and sun-faded outdoor covers are all repairable. We assess the piece, fix what is structurally wrong, and only then re-cover — so the repair holds up to Barbadian humidity and daily use.

Common upholstery repairs we carry out
Most calls we get are for a handful of familiar problems. If your piece is on this list, it can almost certainly be saved.
- Sagging seats — new webbing, springs re-tied, high-density foam replaced
- Split or unravelled seams re-sewn with UV-stable thread
- Torn arms, backs and piping patched or panels replaced in matching fabric
- Loose and broken frames re-glued, dowelled and clamped in our woodwork shop
- Cushion inserts renewed — foam, dacron wrap and feather-blend options
- Outdoor and marine covers repaired, re-stitched and re-zipped
Repair or reupholster? An honest answer
A repair makes sense when the frame is sound and the fabric is still presentable — a single seat rebuilt or one panel replaced costs far less than recovering the suite. When fabric is faded across the whole piece, or three or more areas have failed, full reupholstery is usually the better value. We tell you which you're looking at before any work begins, and we never strip a piece without your approval.
Repairs for villas, hotels and rental properties
Rental villas and hotels in Saint James, Saint Peter and Christ Church get heavy turnover, and a failed sofa or lounger cannot wait. We handle scheduled maintenance rounds, quick-turn seat repairs between guests, and batch cushion refills so a whole terrace matches again. Collection and delivery is available island-wide.
Fabrics that survive Barbados
Repairs fail when the wrong fabric goes back on. Indoors we work with hard-wearing linens, cottons and performance weaves; outdoors and poolside we use solution-dyed acrylics and marine vinyls that resist UV, salt air and mildew. We can source fabric for you or work with material you already have.
Frequently asked
- How much does upholstery repair cost in Barbados?
- It depends on the damage and fabric. Small jobs like re-sewing a seam or refilling a cushion are modest; a rebuilt seat with new foam and webbing costs more. Send photos on WhatsApp and we'll give you an estimate before starting.
- How long will my repair take?
- Simple repairs are often a few days. Frame work or fabric that must be ordered can take one to three weeks. We give you a date with your estimate.
- Do you collect and deliver furniture?
- Yes. We collect from and deliver across Barbados, including Holetown, Bridgetown, Hastings, Worthing, Speightstown and the east coast.
- Can you repair antique furniture?
- Yes. Antique and contemporary pieces are both handled in our workshop, including re-joining wooden frames and traditional hand-tied springing.
